Editing a Default Drip Tag in CloseHack CRM
You cannot directly edit the default CloseHack or group-created drip tags. Instead, you need to copy the original and make changes to your own version. This guide walks you through the full process step by step.
Step 1: Log In and Navigate to Drip Tags
-
Go to your CloseHack website.
-
Click Login in the top-right corner or under the Account tab.
-
Once logged in, click Dashboard to access the backend.
-
In the left-hand menu, go to Flux CRM > Drip Tags.
Step 2: Choose a Drip Tag to Copy
-
Locate the default CloseHack drip tags or group drip tags.
-
Click on the drip tag you want to modify (e.g., "General Buyer 2").
-
You'll see a list of the sequence steps included in that tag.
Important: You will not be able to edit these directly unless you were the original creator.
Step 3: Copy the Drip Tag
-
Click Copy at the top of the drip tag page.
-
Give it a new name (e.g., "General Buyer Start – Esther").
-
Once copied, you will now see Update and Delete options, confirming ownership of the new tag.
Step 4: Adjust Drip Settings (Optional)
-
Click Update to change:
-
Auto-pause settings (e.g., pause drip if the client replies, changes status, etc.).
-
Send behavior (test mode, BCC settings).
-
-
It is recommended to leave BCC off to avoid email overload.
Step 5: Edit the Drip Sequence
-
Scroll down to the section showing the drip steps.
-
Click the pencil icon next to the step you want to edit.
Example Edits:
-
Change delay time to
0 days
to send immediately. -
Add a text message (SMS) to go along with the email.
To add a text message:
-
Scroll to the SMS section in the editor.
-
Write your message (e.g., “Hey, check out the email I just sent you with a link to your home search!”).
-
Click Update Drip to save.
Step 6: Confirm Updates
-
After clicking Update Drip, check the preview on the right-hand side.
-
It should now show:
-
Email content
-
Text message (if added)
-
Delay time (e.g., “No wait time” if set to zero)
-
Step 7: Use Your Edited Drip Tag
-
Go to CRM > Clients.
-
Select one or more clients.
-
Click Actions > Assign Drip Tag.
-
Choose your updated drip (e.g., “General Buyer Start – Esther”) from the dropdown list.
Now your clients will receive the customized sequence you created instead of the default CloseHack version.
Summary
-
Default and group drip tags are read-only.
-
To make edits, copy the drip tag and then modify it.
-
You can adjust timing, content, and add emails/texts/tasks.
-
Assign your version of the drip tag to clients from the Clients tab.
